Our Work
We are a Lansing-based non profit. Our mission is to assist people with medical and physical challenges in keeping, feeding and caring for their pet.
Our service is unique in that we serve as an intervention at the request of the pet owner when they have fallen upon short- term or long-term financial or physical hardships, so the pet does not have to be given up by the pet owner to a shelter or be euthanized.
We are currently accepting new clients that are 18 years of age or older and living on their own. Clients must reside in Eaton or Ingham county.
Individuals must also meet our special needs guidelines:
• Senior citizens are age 65+
• Persons who use wheel chairs, or physically challenged.
• Persons using trained service dogs, such as leader dogs.
• Persons with special medical conditions, including HIV/AIDS.
Proof of age and disability will be required as well as proof of lower income status if a client requests monetary assistance in providing care from our professional pet care and service providers
